Transforming Nostalgia Into Innovation: Launching My First Web Application

For years, I harbored a desire to create my own software project—something that would challenge me and push my skills further. Last year marked the moment I finally took the plunge into web development, turning my idea into reality through dedicated learning and hands-on creation.

Throughout this journey, I gained invaluable insights into full-stack development, deployment processes, real-time socket communication, and database optimization. My first major project was a text-based multiplayer game inspired by a classic college drinking game—a nostalgic favorite of mine. Developing this game taught me humility and a new respect for online multiplayer experiences, especially regarding issues like lag and glitches, which I now understand are part of the development process.
