Addressing these challenges, we are excited to unveil Garlic-Hub — an innovative, open-source project designed to empower users with a modern, self-hosted digital signage Content Management System (CMS).
What Is Garlic-Hub?
Garlic-Hub is a comprehensive, self-hosted digital signage CMS built with the latest web development practices. It aims to provide a streamlined, accessible platform for managing digital displays while fostering a collaborative development environment. Here’s a snapshot of its core features:

Modern Technology Stack: Developed with PHP 8.3 utilizing the Slim 4 micro-framework, enabling efficient and maintainable code.

Standardized Playlist Management: Employs SMIL (Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language), an open standard for creating and managing multimedia playlists.

In addition, Garlic-Hub is complemented by Garlic-Player, a dedicated media player compatible with multiple operating systems including Linux, Windows, macOS (Intel and ARM architectures), and Android. This ensures seamless playback across diverse hardware setups.
