Why I Developed HTMLSync
While experimenting with large language models (LLMs) for coding assistance, I discovered they are invaluable for rapidly generating personalized web applications tailored to my needs. I would ask the LLM to craft a single-file HTML app that leverages localStorage for data persistence, and the results were outstanding with minimal additional prompts. Since I prefer to avoid server maintenance and deployment complexities, these lightweight apps were the perfect fit—until I encountered a limitation.
The main challenge was accessibility: these locally stored, single-file apps weren’t easily usable on mobile devices, which became increasingly problematic as I transitioned more of my tools to this format.
