Requesting Feedback on My PHP-Based DIY Liveuamap Replica

Title: Building a DIY Liveuamap Clone with PHP: Seeking Feedback and Future Directions

Welcome to my latest project update! I’ve been working on creating a simplified, homemade version of a live mapping application similar to Liveuamap, using only PHP. My journey has been quite experimental, especially given current constraints.

Due to temporary limitations with my Chromebook, my development options were somewhat restricted. While there are many cloud IDEs and platforms like GitHub Codespaces, I found myself uncomfortable using them for this project—primarily because I prefer to reserve those resources for later, more intensive tasks. Instead, I relied on a basic text editor and a touch of AI assistance to bring this idea to life.

The motivation behind this project was driven by a mix of boredom and frustration. The original Liveuamap source code is no longer actively maintained and tends to be complex to set up, which led me to develop a more straightforward, easy-to-understand version.

Currently, I am working within the limitations of free hosting services, which influences my choice of technology stack. I am curious whether it’s worth investing in modern, more scalable solutions like Node.js or other contemporary frameworks to enhance performance and future-proof the project.

I’d love to hear your feedback on this homemade map: https://aregan.byethost33.com/aregan/. Any suggestions, critiques, or ideas for improvement would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for taking the time to explore my project!
