Perform a chin-up to rescue a cat — Developing a web-based workout game with Mediapipe and Three.js (Variation 19)

Transform Your Workout Routine with an Interactive Web Game: Chin-Ups and Rescue Missions

Are you interested in turning fitness into a fun and engaging experience? I’m excited to share a unique web-based workout game I’ve been developing that combines physical activity with interactive technology. The concept is simple: perform a chin-up to “save” a virtual cat—making your workout both effective and entertaining.

You can try out the live demo here: https://www.funwithcomputervision.com/chinup/

In addition to the chin-up challenge, I’ve incorporated a push-up mode, giving users the choice to rescue either cats or dogs during their exercise session. It’s a playful way to motivate movement while enjoying a tech-driven experience.

Technology Behind the Game

This project leverages advanced computer vision techniques with MediaPipe for precise body pose detection. The visual rendering is powered by Three.js, creating smooth and interactive 3D animations, while Tone.js manages the audio feedback, making the experience more immersive.

Looking Ahead

I’m actively refining this project and eager to expand its features. If you have suggestions for new exercises or ideas to enhance the game, I’d love to hear your feedback. Join the fun and let’s make working out more enjoyable together!

Feel free to explore the demo, share your thoughts, and stay tuned for updates on this interactive fitness platform!
