Introducing yWhois: Enhanced IP, Domain, and ASN Lookup with RDAP

We’re excited to share an improved version of yWhois, our powerful tool designed for comprehensive IP, domain, and ASN lookups through RDAP. Although we initially launched this project last year, recent updates have significantly boosted its performance and reliability.

One of the notable challenges we encountered was the occurrence of rate-limiting issues during high traffic periods. To address this, we’ve integrated multiple worker servers into the infrastructure, ensuring smoother performance even under heavy usage. While it’s somewhat surprising that a registrar’s RDAP service would impose such strict API limits, especially considering RDAP’s goal as a modern alternative to traditional WHOIS, we’re committed to refining yWhois to meet user needs.
