Understanding API Security Best Practices for Frontend Developers

Since these are embedded or sent from the frontend, they are inherently exposed and cannot be truly hidden in a traditional sense. Attempts to obfuscate or encrypt this information are often mistaken for security measures but are actually only deterrents rather than protections.
Clarifying Common Misconceptions
Many developers and professionals agree that:

Practical Approaches to Enhance Security
While hiding API keys entirely is impossible on the frontend, there are strategies to minimize risk:
