Introducing yWhois: Enhanced IP, Domain, and ASN Lookup with RDAP
In todayโs digital landscape, accurate and efficient network information is essential for IT professionals, security analysts, and web developers alike. Recently, I unveiled yWhois โ a powerful tool designed to facilitate quick lookups of IP addresses, domain names, and Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) using the RDAP protocol.
Since launching the project, Iโve made significant updates to improve performance and reliability. One of the challenges faced was encountering rate limits during high traffic periods, which impeded the user experience. To address this, Iโve integrated multiple worker servers to distribute the load more effectively, ensuring smoother operation even during peak usage times.
Itโs somewhat surprising that a registrarโs RDAP service would impose such restrictive API limits, especially considering that RDAP is meant to be a modern replacement for traditional WHOIS โ designed to offer more consistent and accessible data. Nonetheless, I remain optimistic that these issues will be addressed in future updates.
If youโre interested in efficient network lookups and modern domain data retrieval, I invite you to explore yWhois for yourself.
