yWhois – IP, Domain, ASN Lookup with RDAP – Updated

Introducing yWhois: Enhanced IP, Domain, and ASN Lookup with RDAP

In todayโ€™s digital landscape, accurate and efficient network information is essential for IT professionals, security analysts, and web developers alike. Recently, I unveiled yWhois โ€” a powerful tool designed to facilitate quick lookups of IP addresses, domain names, and Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) using the RDAP protocol.

Since launching the project, Iโ€™ve made significant updates to improve performance and reliability. One of the challenges faced was encountering rate limits during high traffic periods, which impeded the user experience. To address this, Iโ€™ve integrated multiple worker servers to distribute the load more effectively, ensuring smoother operation even during peak usage times.

Itโ€™s somewhat surprising that a registrarโ€™s RDAP service would impose such restrictive API limits, especially considering that RDAP is meant to be a modern replacement for traditional WHOIS โ€” designed to offer more consistent and accessible data. Nonetheless, I remain optimistic that these issues will be addressed in future updates.

If youโ€™re interested in efficient network lookups and modern domain data retrieval, I invite you to explore yWhois for yourself.
