Introducing a No-Fuss Scrum Poker Tool for Agile Teams

In the world of Agile project management, having a reliable and unobtrusive Scrum Poker app can significantly streamline planning sessions. Recognizing the challenges with existing solutionsโ€”such as intrusive ads, restrictive access, and cost barriersโ€”I took the initiative to develop a straightforward, ad-free alternative.

This lightweight application allows team members to participate effortlessly through guest login, enabling quick and anonymous voting on story points for user stories. Unlike many popular tools, itโ€™s entirely free and designed with simplicity in mind, avoiding unnecessary complexities and restrictions.

My team previously used a different platform, but it was plagued by frequent ads and browser compatibility issuesโ€”especially when trying to run it in browsers like Brave with ad blockers. This prompted me to create a solution that minimizes such obstacles, ensuring a smoother experience across various environments.

Beyond just building a practical tool, I aim to develop more specialized, free resources that help users avoid subscription overload for basic needs. Experimenting with technologies like Mercure not only enhanced my understanding of real-time protocols but also added a valuable skill to my toolkit.
