From Backend Developer to Blogger: Building a Personal Website with WordPress

As a seasoned .NET backend engineer, my expertise has always centered around complex, behind-the-scenes systems—processing data, managing servers, and optimizing performance—all tasks that remain largely invisible to end users. Venturing into the realm of frontend development and crafting a public-facing website was a new and exciting challenge for me.

My goal was to create a straightforward, fast, and lightweight platform where I could share insights, showcase my reusable libraries, and connect with others. After some research, I opted to build my site using WordPress, appreciating its user-friendly interface and extensive customization options.

Throughout this journey, I’ve gained valuable insights into website development, design, and optimization. It’s been a refreshing departure from my usual development tasks such as memory management, garbage collection tuning, or debugging race conditions.
