Introducing a Clean and Free Scrum Poker Tool for Agile Teams
In the world of Agile development, having reliable tools to facilitate sprint planning is essential. However, many existing Scrum Poker applications come with unwanted clutter—ads, restrictions, or costs—that can hinder productivity and user experience.
To address this gap, I developed a straightforward Scrum Poker web app designed with simplicity and accessibility in mind. This lightweight tool allows team members to anonymously log in as guests and cast votes on story points for user stories, streamlining the planning session without unnecessary distractions.
Our team previously relied on a different platform, but it was plagued with frequent advertisements, which disrupted focus and sometimes depended on ad blockers that didn’t always work seamlessly, especially on certain browsers like Brave. Recognizing these challenges, I set out to create a solution free from such issues—accessible across various browsers and free of intrusive ads.
My goal with this project is to craft niche, practical tools that enhance productivity without burdening users with subscriptions or limitations. Building this app also gave me the opportunity to learn more about the Mercure protocol, enriching my understanding of real-time communication technologies.
I invite you to try the tool for your team’s sprint planning sessions and see how it can simplify your workflow.
