Many believe that the craft of building websites is on the verge of becoming obsolete, replaced by sophisticated AI tools capable of generating code and designing pages automatically.

However, I remain skeptical of this perspective. While AI certainly enhances and streamlines many aspects of web development, I find it hard to envision a future where these tools can fully replace the expertise, creativity, and nuanced decision-making of seasoned developers. Creating a professional, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing website involves much more than just code—it requires an understanding of user experience, branding, marketing goals, and technical architecture.

Even with the most advanced AI assistants, there’s a fundamental need for human oversight to guide projects, interpret client needs, troubleshoot unexpected issues, and ensure that the final product aligns with strategic objectives. AI may serve as a powerful helper or tool, but it seems unlikely to replace the indispensable role of professionals who bring context, judgment, and creativity to the development process.
