Introducing a Simple and Ad-Free Scrum Poker Web App for Agile Teams

In the fast-paced world of agile project management, having reliable tools is essential. Recognizing the frustrations some teams face with existing Scrum poker applications—ranging from intrusive advertisements to restrictive access—I developed a straightforward, no-frills web-based Scrum poker app designed to facilitate seamless voting on user stories.

This tool offers a clean and user-friendly interface where team members can participate anonymously through guest login, casting their votes on story points without the distraction of ads or unnecessary features. It’s particularly useful for teams working across various browsers and environments where ad blockers may not be consistent, including restricted corporate setups.

My goal with this project was to create a niche, open-access resource that enhances productivity without adding clutter or cost. Additionally, this endeavor provided an excellent opportunity to deepen my understanding of real-time communication protocols like Mercure—improving my grasp of web publishing and subscription systems.
