Developing an Open Source Marketplace: Initial Dashboard Features Completed

Launching the Foundations of an Open Source Marketplace: Core Dashboard Features in Place

Exciting progress on our journey to develop an innovative open source marketplace! What initially began as a simple idea for a platform dedicated to selling art has evolved into much moreโ€”a dynamic, user-friendly marketplace with a robust admin dashboard.

My goal was to create a seamless store and blog experience, leveraging my familiarity with Astro. However, I decided to build a headless CMS to support this vision, which gradually transformed into a full-fledged marketplace platform.

This week, I dedicated time to refining the core functionalities. I’m pleased to report that essential features are now operational: users can log in, create individual sites, and manage their content effortlessly. Behind the scenes, the system harnesses the power of Strapi for content management, combined with the sleek design capabilities of Mantine and Tailwind CSS.

Stay tuned for further updates as this project developsโ€”aiming to deliver a flexible, open source solution for creators and entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their art with ease.
