yWhois – IP, Domain, ASN Lookup with RDAP – Updated

Introducing yWhois: A Modern Solution for IP, Domain, and ASN Lookups with RDAP

In todayโ€™s digital landscape, efficient and reliable access to domain and IP information is crucial. Recently, I revisited my yWhois projectโ€”an innovative tool designed to perform comprehensive lookups for IP addresses, domains, and Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) using the RDAP protocol.

Since I last shared this project, Iโ€™ve implemented several key enhancements aimed at improving performance and stability. One notable challenge was encountering rate limiting when the site experienced high traffic volumes. To address this, I integrated multiple worker servers, which has significantly alleviated these issues and ensures smoother operation during peak times.

Itโ€™s somewhat surprising that the registrarโ€™s RDAP server imposes such restrictive API usage limits, especially considering that RDAP is intended to serve as a modern, standardized replacement for the traditional WHOIS protocol. Despite this, I remain optimistic that ongoing improvements will make yWhois a more robust and accessible resource for network administrators, developers, and cybersecurity professionals alike.

Feel free to explore the latest version of yWhois at https://ywhois.com/. I look forward to seeing how this tool can assist your network investigations and domain management tasks.
