Assistance Needed: As a Backend Developer, I Created a Blog – Can Someone Share CSS?

From Backend Developer to Blogger: Creating a Personal Website with Custom CSS

As a seasoned back-end developer specializing in the .NET framework, my expertise has always been rooted in building robust, behind-the-scenes systems—complex architectures that users rarely see. However, stepping outside of that comfort zone to craft a public-facing website presented a fresh and exciting challenge.

My goal was to establish a straightforward, lightweight platform to share insights and showcase some of the reusable libraries I’ve developed over time. After evaluating various options, I settled on 11ty (Eleventy) due to its impressive speed and minimalistic approach, which made the development process both efficient and enjoyable.

Throughout this journey, I gained valuable experience, learning the nuances of front-end performance and design. The final result offers a refreshing change from my usual work, which often involves optimizing memory, managing garbage collection, or resolving race conditions in multithreaded environments.

I’m excited to share my creation—ByteAether Blog—where I’ve also included Lighthouse performance benchmarks to demonstrate its speed and effectiveness. I hope you find the content engaging and inspiring, especially if you’re considering building your own personal website or exploring custom CSS solutions.
