Brian RSS – Personalized RSS feed about your favorite books

Discovering a Personalized RSS Feed Tailored to Your Favorite Reads

Are you passionate about your reading list and eager to stay updated with insightful content related to your favorite books? Today, Iโ€™m excited to introduce a project that brings personalized, AI-powered reading updates directly to your digital space โ€” all hosted seamlessly on your own infrastructure.

Introducing Brian RSS: A Dynamic, Custom RSS Feed for Book Enthusiasts

Launched after several weeks of dedicated development, Brian RSS is an innovative tool designed to generate a tailored RSS feed based on your selected books. Using Artificial Intelligence, it curates daily snippets, summaries, or insights from your chosen literature, providing bite-sized inspiration or ideas to delve into further. Even better, each update is converted into an audio recording, allowing you to listen to your personalized book summaries much like your favorite podcast.

A Name with a Clever Twist

Fun fact: ‘Brian’ is an anagram of ‘๐Ÿง  brain,’ reflecting its design to stimulate your mind with curated content.

Core Features of Brian RSS:
– Personalized Content: Pulls from your reading list to generate summaries or interesting insights from random sections of your books.
– Audio Integration: Converts each entry into an audio clip, perfect for listening on the go.
– Daily Updates: Refreshes automatically every morning at 6 AM UTC, ensuring fresh content.
– Self-Hosted Solution: Operates within your own environment using Docker, providing full control and privacy.

Origin and Availability

What began as a personal project to keep my reading motivated has now evolved into an open-source initiative. You can explore the project on GitHub and see it in action through my personal feed: brian.achris.me/rss.

Seeking Feedback

As I continue refining Brian RSS, I would love to hear from the community:
– Is the setup process clearly explained in the documentation?
– Are there additional features or customization options you’d find useful?
