As a passionate Nintendo Switch user, I often find myself frustrated with limited local trading options. Games rarely go on sale, and not everyone has friends nearby who share the same gaming interests. To bridge this gap, I developed Nintrade — a simple platform that facilitates game swapping among players in a community-focused environment. Importantly, Nintrade is entirely free, ad-free, and user privacy is a top priority.

How Nintrade Works

Nintrade streamlines the trading process through an intuitive user experience:

• Account Creation: Users can sign in anonymously or via popular authentication methods such as Google or Discord. Additional options are planned for future updates.

• Profile Setup: After signing in, users select a unique username and specify their approximate location using integrated Google Maps autocomplete API.

• Game Inventory Management: Users upload the titles they own and specify the games they are interested in trading for.

• Matching System: The platform matches users within a customizable radius (from 5 km up to 1,000 km) who have compatible trading needs.

• Direct Communication: Users can chat directly within the platform to coordinate trades securely and conveniently.

• Mobile-Responsive Design: Nintrade is optimized for mobile devices, with desktop support slated for upcoming releases.

Community Engagement and Feedback

Currently, Nintrade hosts around 70 game titles, primarily targeting Nintendo Switch titles. The project is still in its early stages, and I am eager to expand its features and user base with community input.
