In what I thought was a straightforward inquiry regarding which type of sandpaper would be best for a project, I received a response that was anything but relevant. Instead of the guidance I was seeking, the AI produced detailed medical data pertaining to a drug test belonging to a complete stranger, located thousands of miles away from me.
To my shock, the response included specific signatures and personal details that clearly should not have been accessible. This unexpected turn of events has left me feeling anxious and unsure about how to proceed. My hesitation in sharing the chat log stems from a strong desire to avoid disseminating someone else’s private information further.
In an effort to provide context, I shared a partial transcript in a comment but opted to omit certain sections that included my own personal inquiries, fearing that it might compromise my privacy. The conversation seemed to reflect an unsettling blend of information—while I acknowledge the possibility that the AI could be hallucinating, I did my due diligence and confirmed that names mentioned in the dialogue corresponded with actual individuals in the area.
