First Web Game by Wife: Phrasicle.com, a Word Chain Game Inspired by The New York Times

Celebrating Creativity: Introducing Phrasicle – A Word Chain Web Game Inspired by Classic Phrases

We’re excited to showcase a special project developed by my wife, marking her debut into the world of web game design. She has dedicated the past six years at home caring for our three young children, and recently decided to channel her creativity into making an engaging online game. Today, I’m proud to share her masterpiece: phrasicle.com.

Phrasicle is an imaginative word puzzle that challenges players to decipher familiar sayings and idioms—collectively known as “Phrasicles”—by uncovering related words within a dynamic grid. The gameplay involves solving a series of interconnected word chains, reminiscent of classic puzzle mechanics like Chain Reaction, to reveal the hidden phrase.

The goal is to blend linguistic fun with strategic thinking, providing an entertaining experience for puzzle enthusiasts of all ages.

We hope you enjoy exploring Phrasicle, and I’d love to hear any insights or advice from fellow developers on how to effectively grow and scale user engagement for web-based games.

Thank you for taking the time to check out this project!
