Help, I’m a Backend Dev, and I’ve Built a Blog (send CSS)

From Backend Developer to Blogger: Building a Personal Website with WordPress โ€“ Requesting CSS Tips

As a seasoned backend engineer specializing in .NET systems, I spend most of my time working behind the scenes on complex infrastructures that remain invisible to end-users. Stepping into the realm of public-facing development was an entirely new experienceโ€”especially since I aimed to keep things clean, efficient, and easy to manage.

My goal was to create a straightforward platform where I could share insights, thoughts, and showcase some of the reusable libraries I’ve developed. While I initially explored static site generators like 11ty for their speed and lightweight nature, I ultimately decided that a more familiar and flexible approachโ€”such as WordPressโ€”would suit my needs better.

Throughout this journey, Iโ€™ve gained valuable insights into front-end design, site optimization, and user experience. Itโ€™s been a refreshing departure from the typical challenges I encounter in backend work, such as memory management, concurrency issues, and performance tuning.

Today, Iโ€™m excited to unveil my personal blog: ByteAether Blog. Iโ€™ve also included some Lighthouse benchmark results to showcase its performance.

If youโ€™re experienced with WordPress and have tips on customizing styles, especially CSS enhancements to give the site a unique look, Iโ€™d love to hear your recommendations. Your insights will help me refine the visual appeal and user engagement of my platform.

Thanks for taking a look, and I look forward to any suggestions or ideas you might have!
