How can we define artificial intelligence (AI)?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are designed to think and act like humans. This technology encompasses a wide range of capabilities, including problem-solving, learning, reasoning, perception, language understanding, and even decision-making. AI systems are typically classified into two categories: narrow AI, which is specialized for a specific task, such as voice recognition or recommendation algorithms, and general AI, which would possess human-like cognitive functions across various domains, although this level of AI has not yet been achieved. AI utilizes various methodologies, including Machine Learning, where algorithms improve through experience, and Deep Learning, which employs neural networks to process large amounts of data. The applications of AI are diverse, spanning fields such as healthcare, finance, education, and entertainment, fundamentally transforming industries and enhancing our daily lives.
