Transforming MVP Development: Building a SaaS Platform from My Proven Workflow

As a developer with over a decade of experience, Iโ€™ve always valued the rapid iteration and efficiency offered by AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor. However, I noticed a recurring challenge: the core process I follow to build Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) tends to be repetitive and manual, especially at the early stages of new SaaS projects.

Identifying the Common Pain Points in MVP Development

Typically, my workflow involves several key steps:

  • Deep Ideation: Collaborating with AI tools to articulate and refine the project concept, gaining a detailed understanding of what to build.
  • Documentation: Creating comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) that include project scope, technical stack, coding preferences, and other essential parameters to guide the development process.
  • Task Planning: Laying out a step-by-step plan or task list to track progress and define the immediate next steps.
  • Context Management: When shifting between various AI tools like Claude Code and Cursor, I often need to restate or remind the AI of project details, which can slow down productivity.

Automating the MVP Workflow into a SaaS Solution

Recognizing these repetitive patterns, I decided to develop a SaaS platform that encapsulates this workflowโ€”streamlining the process from ideation to execution. The platform supports:

  • Deep Ideation Sessions: Integrate ChatGPT to assist in exploring and refining ideas efficiently.
  • Structured Documentation: Generate and store detailed PRDs, including technical stacks and preferences, accessible at any stage.
  • Task Management: Automatically create, update, and visualize task lists aligned with project milestones.
  • Context Preservation: Seamlessly maintain contextual information across different AI tools, reducing the need to reintroduce project details repeatedly.

Invitation for Collaboration and Feedback

While Iโ€™ve built most of this system, Iโ€™ve intentionally left out the ideation phase, as I still enjoy diving deep into that part with ChatGPT. Now, Iโ€™m excited to invite beta testers to try out this platform. Your feedback, suggestions, and even constructive criticism (“roasting” welcomed!) will be invaluable in refining the tool.

Conclusion

By automating and integrating the core steps of MVP development into a single, user-friendly SaaS, I aim to accelerate startup workflows and make MVP building more efficient for developers everywhere.
