Introducing a Simpler, Ad-Free Scrum Poker Tool for Agile Teams

In today’s fast-paced development environment, effective planning poker is essential for agile teams to estimate user stories accurately. Recognizing the limitations of existing tools—often cluttered with ads, costly, or restrictive—I decided to develop a straightforward, no-frills Scrum poker application that meets the needs of modern teams.

This web-based platform allows team members to participate effortlessly through guest login, casting their votes on story points for various user stories. Designed with simplicity in mind, it eliminates distractions and provides a hassle-free experience, especially for teams facing browser restrictions or seeking an ad-free environment.

My motivation stemmed from personal frustrations with popular tools that tackle ads poorly or impose limitations. By creating this lightweight solution, I aim to contribute a niche yet valuable resource to the agile community. Moreover, developing this application provided an excellent opportunity to deepen my understanding of the Mercure protocol—an experience I found particularly rewarding.
