Introducing a Custom Scrum Poker Tool Designed for Seamless Team Collaboration

In the world of agile project management, effective planning and estimation are crucial. Recognizing the limitations of existing online Scrum poker applications—such as intrusive advertisements, restrictive usage policies, or paid features—I decided to develop a straightforward, ad-free alternative tailored for teams seeking a hassle-free experience.

This lightweight application allows team members to participate via guest login, cast their votes on story points, and engage in collaborative sprint planning without unnecessary distractions. My own team faced similar frustrations with popular options that were laden with ads and had compatibility issues, especially when browsers like Brave caused hurdles with ad blockers and restrictions.

My goal with this project is to craft niche, highly useful tools that help steer clear of the subscription overload prevalent online—at least for fundamental team functionalities. Building this app also provided an excellent opportunity for me to deepen my understanding of real-time communication protocols like Mercure, which I found quite insightful.
