Building a Dynamic Landing Page for a startup: A Case Study and Invitation for Feedback

In the realm of startup development, a compelling online presence is essential to attract early users, validate ideas, and communicate value. Recently, I had the opportunity to collaborate with an entrepreneur to develop a landing page for their innovative project, Joga AIโ€”a cutting-edge, AI-powered personal coach aimed at youth soccer players.

Understanding the Project

Joga AI is an evolving platform designed to analyze game footage from young athletes and offer personalized feedback, functioning somewhat like a virtual assistant coach. While the product itself is still in development, establishing an engaging and informative online landing page was a crucial step in generating interest and collecting user feedback.

The Development Process

Leveraging fundamental web technologies, the landing page was constructed using straightforward HTML, CSS, and a touch of JavaScript. The primary objectives were to create a clean, modern, and mobile-responsive experience that effectively communicates the productโ€™s value proposition. Key features include:

  • Mobile-Friendly Layout: Ensuring accessibility and readability across devices.
  • Animated Hero Section: Engaging visual entry point with subtle animations.
  • Email Waitlist Integration: A simple signup form connected to Google Sheets via an embedded Google Form, facilitating easy collection of prospective user information.
  • Embedded Social Proof: YouTube Shorts videos integrated directly into the page to showcase social validation and product demos.
  • Placeholder Visuals: Designed to illustrate key features and create visual interest.
  • Content Sections: Organized areas for storytelling, feature highlights, and future development plans.

While the page is primarily designed for clarity and engagement, we consciously prioritized functionality over exhaustive performance optimization. The inclusion of animations and embedded videos does introduce some load time, though overall performance remains smooth across desktop and mobile devices.

Goals and Outcomes

The primary aim was to quickly translate an initial concept into a tangible digital asset that can capture interest and facilitate feedback. The founder is pleased with the current version, viewing it as a solid foundation for growth and iteration.

Your Feedback Is Welcome

As this project continues to evolve, I invite the community to share their insights. Whether youโ€™re a web developer, designer, marketer, or startup founder, your perspective can help refine this approach or inspire new ideas for similar projects.

Thank you for taking the time to review this case study. I look forward to your constructive feedback and discussion!
