Need guidance on what to learn next (B.E. IT 1st year student, beginner)

Guidance Needed: Next Steps for an Aspiring IT Professional

As a first-year Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology student, I am eager to develop additional skills that will prepare me for the competitive job market. While my current coursework provides a solid foundation, I recognize the importance of supplementing my education with practical certifications and learning experiences.

Recently, I completed the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, which sparked my interest in cloud computing and infrastructure management. However, I am now uncertain about which skills to pursue next to enhance my employability and professional growth.

Some of my peers are exploring DevOps fundamentals, UI/UX design principles, and even engaging in freelance projects to gain real-world experience. As someone new to the field, I would greatly appreciate guidance on beginner-friendly learning paths that hold strong career potential.

Could experienced professionals or fellow students share advice on the most promising skills to acquire at this stage? Recommendations for accessible resources or certifications that can lay a strong foundation would be immensely helpful. Thank you in advance for your insights!
