Wife’s first web game – phrasicle.com, a NYT-inspired word chain game

Introducing Phrasicle: A New Word Chain Game Inspired by Classic Phrases

We are excited to showcase the debut web game by a talented new developerโ€”my wife. After spending the past six years nurturing our three young children at home, she decided to channel her creativity into developing a fun and engaging online game. The result is Phrasicle (accessible at phrasicle.com), a word puzzle game inspired by the NYT-style word chain games and classic idioms.

About the Game

Phrasicle presents players with a challenging task: uncover words within a grid to reveal a familiar saying or idiom, known as the “Phrasicle.” The gameplay centers around solving a series of interconnected word chainsโ€”similar in concept to the mechanics of Chain Reactionโ€”to gradually unlock the phrase. It’s designed to be both entertaining and mentally stimulating, perfect for word enthusiasts and casual gamers alike.

Our Journey

As someone sharing this moment of pride, I wanted to highlight her achievement and share the game with a wider audience. While she’s not very active on Reddit, I thought this community might appreciate the dedication and creativity that went into this project.

Looking Ahead

Weโ€™re eager to grow Phrasicleโ€™s user base and would be grateful for any insights or strategies youโ€™ve employed to scale your projects successfully.

Thank you for taking the time to check out the gameโ€”hope you enjoy playing it as much as she enjoyed creating it!
