Wife’s first web game – phrasicle.com, a NYT-inspired word chain game

Celebrating a Creative Milestone: Introducing “Phrasicle” โ€“ A Word Chain Puzzle Inspired by Classic Games

Weโ€™re excited to share a special project thatโ€™s close to our hearts. My wife, who has spent the past six years caring for our three young daughters, has recently ventured into web game development. Her debut creation is an engaging word puzzle titled “Phrasicle”, now live at phrasicle.com.

About the Game

“Phrasicle” draws inspiration from traditional word chain games and combining elements reminiscent of puzzles like Chain Reaction. The objective is to decipher a familiar phrase, proverb, or idiomโ€”collectively known as a “Phrasicle”โ€”by uncovering words hidden within a grid. Players progress through a sequence of word chains, each unveiling parts of the saying, leading to a satisfying mental challenge.

Our Journey and Looking Ahead

As new game developers, we’re eager to learn from the community and hear your insights. If you have tips on growing a user base or scaling a web game, weโ€™d greatly appreciate your advice.

Thanks for taking the time to explore our project. We hope you enjoy playing “Phrasicle” and find it a fun addition to the world of online puzzles!
