Introducing yWhois: Enhanced IP, Domain, and ASN Lookup with RDAP

In the fast-evolving landscape of domain management and Internet resource information, having reliable tools at your fingertips is essential. Recently, I revisited my yWhois project—a comprehensive platform for IP, domain, and ASN lookups utilizing the latest RDAP standards.

Since its initial launch, I’ve implemented several key improvements to optimize performance and reliability. One notable challenge was encountering rate-limiting issues during peak usage times. To address this, I integrated multiple worker servers, which has significantly enhanced the system’s capacity and responsiveness.

It’s somewhat surprising that a registrar’s RDAP service would impose such low API limits on a supposedly public API designed to supersede traditional WHOIS protocols. Nonetheless, I remain committed to refining this tool to better serve the community and adapt to the demands of modern Internet infrastructure.
