yWhois – RDAP-Based IP, Domain, and ASN Lookup Tool – Latest Version

Introducing yWhois: An Advanced IP, Domain, and ASN Lookup Tool with RDAP Integration

In the evolving landscape of internet resource management, having swift and reliable access to domain, IP, and ASN information is essential. Recently, I revisited and enhanced yWhois, a powerful lookup platform designed to deliver comprehensive data through RDAP, the modern standard replacing traditional WHOIS queries.

Since its initial launch last year, yWhois has experienced several updates. One significant challenge was handling high traffic volumes—when many users accessed the site simultaneously, rate-limiting restrictions slowed down the service. To mitigate this, I implemented multiple worker servers, greatly improving performance and reliability during peak times.

It’s quite surprising that a registrar’s RDAP server imposes such stringent API usage limits, especially given that RDAP is intended to be a public API meant for broad, unrestricted access. Nonetheless, I’ve addressed the bottleneck, aiming to make yWhois a more robust and accessible tool for network administrators, security professionals, and anyone needing detailed domain and IP data.

Stay tuned for more updates as I continue to refine and expand this project.
