Introducing yWhois: An Advanced IP, Domain, and ASN Lookup Tool with RDAP Support
In the ever-evolving landscape of network resource management, having quick and reliable access to detailed IP, domain, and Autonomous System Number (ASN) information is crucial. Last year, I launched an innovative project aimed at simplifying this process with a modern RDAP-based lookup service. Since then, I’ve made significant enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
One of the key challenges encountered was rate limiting, especially during peak traffic periods. To address this, I integrated multiple worker servers, which has substantially improved the system’s throughput and stability. It’s surprising that a Registration Data Access Protocol (RDAP) server—designed as a public API to modernize and replace traditional WHOIS queries—restricts API usage so heavily. Nonetheless, I remain committed to refining this tool to serve users better.
If you’re seeking a streamlined and contemporary way to perform IP, domain, or ASN lookups, check out the updated yWhois at https://ywhois.com/. I hope this improved version provides the efficiency and reliability that network administrators and cybersecurity professionals need.
