While updating the content for a local blind and shutter installation company using Elementor, I discovered a link to a casino tucked away in a hidden HTML box on their homepage.

To investigate further, I decided to use Safari’s developer tools to search for “casino” on other pages. The very first page I looked at revealed what seemed like thousands of hidden words within the code. This isnโ€™t typical keyword stuffing; itโ€™s just a jumble of words without context.

Iโ€™m puzzled as to why they would do this, and I can’t help but wonder if it’s detrimental to the client’s SEOโ€”I’m quite sure it can’t be benefiting them at all.

Screenshots have been removed as I believe the issue has been resolved.

I haven’t discovered any additional links since I stopped to take screenshots and reach out to the person who hired me. He has outsourced all work to developers, primarily from overseas, and it appears he doesnโ€™t review their work closely. I only started with this agency last week.

I’m seeking advice and insights on this situation. I really need this contract for financial reasons, but I want to ensure Iโ€™m not getting involved in anything ethically questionable.
