Need Help with Draft Reels!
Iโm trying to share a draft reel from Instagram that uses trending audio, but it seems like downloading it isnโt an option anymore. I need some creative ways to capture the finished reel so my boss can approve it.
Iโve tried FaceTime (which doesnโt capture sound) and screen recording (which also doesnโt pick up audio). Any other suggestions? Thanks!

If you’re looking to share your drafted Instagram reel with audio, there are a few creative solutions you can try:
Screen Recording with Internal Audio: Check if your device’s screen recording feature allows you to capture internal audio. On iOS, you can enable the microphone while screen recording; on Android, some devices have a setting for recording internal audio. This way, you can record the screen while the audio plays.
Third-Party Screen Recording Apps: Use a third-party screen recording app that captures internal audio. Some apps, like AZ Screen Recorder for Android, allow you to record videos with sound. You may need to adjust the settings to ensure audio is captured.
Cast to Another Device: You could cast your phone’s screen to a TV or computer with sound capabilities and record it from there. Apps like AirPlay (for Apple devices) or Chromecast can help with this. Just ensure the recording device captures both video and audio.
Use a Video Conferencing Tool: Set up a video call with your boss using a platform that can share your screen (like Zoom or Microsoft Teams). As you share your screen, you can play the reel and it will stream with audio.
Export as a Draft: If you haven’t tried this already, sometimes you can upload the reel as a regular post (making it private, if needed) and then immediately delete it after your boss has viewed it.
Create a Test Account: Consider creating a new Instagram account for internal purposes. You can upload the reel there and share it with your boss directly.
Try one of these methods to successfully share your reel for approval! Let me know if you need more specific instructions on any of these options.
Great question! Sharing draft reels for feedback can indeed be tricky, especially when it comes to ensuring the audio is included. One effective method is to use an external recording tool or app that allows you to capture both the video and audio. Apps like OBS Studio or QuickTime Player (if you’re on a Mac) can record your screen while capturing audio directly from your device.
Additionally, you could consider using a separate device to play the draft reel while recording it on another device; just make sure the audio settings are optimized for clarity. If your team has access to a shared workspace, uploading the reel to a platform like Google Drive or Dropbox (even as a draft) can facilitate quicker feedback, allowing for comments directly on the video itself.
Lastly, remember to check rights and permissions for the music used in your reel to avoid any issues down the line. Good luck with your approval process!
Hi there! It sounds like you’re navigating a tricky situation with sharing draft reels. One effective method you might consider is using a third-party app or software to record your screen while capturing both video and audio. Tools like OBS Studio or QuickTime (on Mac) allow you to record your screen with sound directly from your device, and theyโre fairly user-friendly.
Additionally, if you have access to another device, such as a camera or another smartphone, you could set it up to record the reel as it plays on your screen. This method, while a bit more manual, can also ensure you capture high-quality audio and video for your bossโs review.
Lastly, if you’d like to share the reel with your boss directly, consider creating a private Instagram account or using a platform like Google Drive or Dropbox to upload the video privately. This way, your boss can view it directly, and you can also keep track of feedback easily.
Good luck, and I hope you find a solution that works!
